War and Liberation

Questo è stato il nostro grande esodo dal deserto del fascismo; questa è stata la nostra lunga marcia verso la democrazia

Moro was called up in 1941. After the training, he was sent to the Military court in Bari with the rank of sergeant. He could therefore maintain contacts with the university and the Catholic world. A reserve captain of the Air Force since June 1943, he was still at Bari Military court when Fascism fell. After the Liberation, within the cooperation between the new government of the South and the military allies, he held some conversations in Radio Bari. He also launched a weekly magazine, “La Rassegna (November 1943 – March 1945), which run off up to 50,000 copies – a regional, political magazine which, in the new Italy, guided part of the Catholic world.
